CROSSROADS FESTIVAL OF WESTERN LEGENDS
(WITH COWBOY SINGER, TONY THOMAS)
The Morristown Chamber of Commerce, along with other sponsors, held its first Crossroads Festival of Western Legends on July 8 through July 10, 2011 in the City of Morristown, TN. A western film festival was held on Friday evening on Main Street in Downtown Morristown. Featured stars were James Drury of “The Virginian”, and Robert Fuller of “Larame”, “Wagon Train” and “Emergency”. Guests met the stars and enjoyed a Q&A opportunity along with a good meal while watching films of these western legends. Tony was one of the VIP guests at the social event. Tony was the featured cowboy singer during the event on Saturday at Cherokee Park and again on Sunday at the beautiful Rose Center. Tony was amongst two of the legends of western films (James Drury and Robert Fuller) along with several cowboy impersonators such as John Wayne, Lash Laroo, Gene Autry, and others. Tony was also privileged to play music for the legendary cowboy poet, Charlie Holloway, from Winston,Georgia (this has been posted on Youtube).
